	Fishtowne proudly participates in the NC's Oyster Shell Recycling Program. The objective of the NC oyster shell recycling program is to place collected consumer oyster shells back into the water to recreate oyster reefs. These shells quickly become a habitat that will serve as a protectorate for tiny organisms that will develop into an oyster bed.
